Materialism Refuted (and corrected)

If a materialist believes that after death they will cease to exist, that is not a state of nothing, it is a state of non-existence. One can experience nothing and still exist; we experience nothing for roughly one-third of our lives during sleep. If sleep is an experience of nothing then it is possible, and natural, to experience nothing and still exist.

Why would the death state be described by a materialist as 'nothing'? To a materialist, when the body dies the world goes on without it, so where is this idea of 'nothingness'? Saying that after death there's 'nothing', is exactly solipsism. If the world still exists after death then where is the nothingness?

Of course this 'nothing' of which the materialist speaks is from first-person perspective, but that very perspective is not allowed within the materialist model. If there's nothing then there isn't even anyone or anything to register that nothingness.

So if a materialist says that after death there's nothing, that is exactly solipsism. And then when they say that would be their experience, that statement is in error with their world-view because after death that frame of reference for experience will have ceased to exist. They are assuming a perspective that their very model disallows.

Consider the following thought experiment:

You come home and you see the back of your child's head sitting in a chair. You say "hi" but get no response. Upon facing your child you can see that she or he is dead.

Why would you act any differently upon finding out that they are dead? If Self is the body and the body is present, then why do you think they are 'gone'? If the body is present and they are the body then why would a materialist say that they're gone? It doesn't make any sense. Obviously there is 'something' animating the body, that is not a part of the body.

It is a waste of energy even including materialists in the inquiry any further. Trying to accommodate their incorrect, outdated world-view has stalled humanity's natural evolution of increasing Self-Awareness.

It's time to shift from the body-mind problem to the body-SPIRIT-mind problem. The triune Fundamental Model Of Reality is the only model that dethrones materialism and places it in it's correct alignment within reality.
